N1 Rocket
The Vostok Europe N1 Rocket watch is inspired by the heavy-lift rocket of the same name. This rocket was designed to send Soviet cosmonauts to the moon and place huge space stations in orbit. Thus, the N1 was the Russian equivalent of the American Saturn V rocket, at the time of the first political and military space issues.
The development of the N1 Rocket began in 1959 under the direction of Korolev within OKB–1, following a decree issued in January 1960. Korolev would express in Pravda: “The possibility of direct exploration of the Moon,… the construction of a manned scientific station on the Moon.” We were then at the beginning of the conquest of space. And at that time, technology, science fiction, fantasy, and politics were mixed for the delight of the television viewers and the anxiety of the secret services!
The gigantic N1 rocket actually had five stages, the first comprising 30 engines powered by kerosene and liquid oxygen. Unfortunately, the development of this heavy-lift launcher suffered from political and technical problems. It was eventually replaced by the Energia rocket, which reused its modified launch pads.

Vostok Europe
Vostok watches are manufactured in Europe by Vostok-Europe, a company founded in 2003 to establish this brand, celebrating the great Soviet technological challenges. These watches feature a very aeronautical design, with noble materials such as solid stainless steel or bronze. Whatever the model, they exude a strong personality, as seen in this Vostok Europe N1 Rocket watch, and are unlike any other aeronautical-inspired watch.
Vostok Europe N1 Rocket automatic watch
The Vostok Europe N1 Rocket is one of the brand’s most recognisable space-inspired watches. It suits buyers looking for a bold automatic watch with a strong design story, large wrist presence and collector appeal.

Condition
All watches are categorised as brand new, preloved and so on. Vintage watches are shown as they are. For new watches we use some manufacturers' promotional pictures, but any limited edition numbers shown are those of the actual watch.
What we do and don't do
Each watch is fully inspected and is working as it should: hands turn freely, the date changes where fitted, and the watch winds. To bring you great prices we do not service every watch, and we recommend you do so regularly to keep it in good working order.
We bench test each watch for timekeeping and accept a tolerance of two minutes either way. If you have any concerns we are happy to send you a TIMEGRAPH reading with a picture of your watch in test. Some of the more expensive watches have been serviced by third party specialists, and where that is the case the service record is supplied with the watch and shown on the product page.
Watches are not tested for functionality and timekeeping over longer periods of time. For this reason, long-term performance is excluded from our warranty once the returns window has closed. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We aim to supply vintage watches in the best possible condition, but some wear must be expected due to age. This is shown in the pictures supplied. Please ask if you would like more pictures of any particular feature.
