Aviator
A pilot must be able to rely absolutely on his watch. The important time display should be comprehensible at a glance. Even under adverse external conditions, operation must be intuitive and uncomplicated. The DAVOSA Aviator Quartz meets these requirements with ease.
The DAVOSA Aviator Quartz comes in two different versions: as a 3-hand timepiece or with a chronograph function, driven by tried and tested Swiss-made quartz movements. The chronograph distinguishes itself as a true pilot’s watch thanks to its fly-back function: pressing the pusher stops the current time measurement and the hand flies back to zero; on releasing the pusher a new stopwatch process begins. This saves you vital seconds that can prove decisive when flying: a definite advantage of the fly-back function as opposed to a conventional chronograph stopwatch function.
Condition
All watches are categorised as brand new, preloved and so on. Vintage watches are shown as they are. For new watches we use some manufacturers' promotional pictures, but any limited edition numbers shown are those of the actual watch.
What we do and don't do
Each watch is fully inspected and is working as it should: hands turn freely, the date changes where fitted, and the watch winds. To bring you great prices we do not service every watch, and we recommend you do so regularly to keep it in good working order.
We bench test each watch for timekeeping and accept a tolerance of two minutes either way. If you have any concerns we are happy to send you a TIMEGRAPH reading with a picture of your watch in test. Some of the more expensive watches have been serviced by third party specialists, and where that is the case the service record is supplied with the watch and shown on the product page.
Watches are not tested for functionality and timekeeping over longer periods of time. For this reason, long-term performance is excluded from our warranty once the returns window has closed. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We aim to supply vintage watches in the best possible condition, but some wear must be expected due to age. This is shown in the pictures supplied. Please ask if you would like more pictures of any particular feature.
